„BAföG and Corona"

If you receive loans or grants under the BAföG (Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz - Federal Education Assistance Act), the Student Services Organisation (Studentenwerk)  will send you forms 3 and 5 after the 4th semester. You can download the certificate in accordance with Section 9 BAföG for form 3 via the LSF Portal (Vorlesungsverzeichnis (course catalogue)).

Form 5 is completed by the Student Services Organisation. The processing time usually takes 3-5 days. In order to obtain this certificate, at least 90 credit points must be proved in the teaching qualification courses and at least 100 credit points must be proved in the artistic/pedagogical courses at the end of your 4th semester. Submit for this your study book to the CIS early on.

Beurlaubung vom Studium (Leave ob absence):

You can generally request a leave of absence for one semester by submitting a written application if proof of a compelling reason, e.g. illness, is provided. The right to take a semester off is governed by the matriculation regulations. As a matter of principle, the application for leave of absence must be submitted within the deadline set by HfM Detmold. Leave of absence will not be granted retroactively. It is not permitted  to take the 1st semester off.

The Music and State Library in Detmold provides books, sheet music, sound carriers, journals and other media for students of HfM Detmold. More information about the library can be found here.
