Semesterbeitrag und Semesterticket für Ersthörer (Semester fee and semester ticket for full students):

A semester fee must be paid for matriculation and reregistration. The semester fee comprises the AStA fee, the student union fee and the costs for the semester ticket, which allows students to use public transport in North Rhine-Westphalia at no additional cost.

Please pick up your semester ticket at the CIS at the beginning of your studies.
After the first semester, we will send you the semester ticket by mail about two weeks before the start of the semester. Please remember to give us your current postal address. If you lose your ticket, please contact the Student Services Department.

Scope for the semester ticket

Sprachkenntnisse (Knowledge of languages)

Knowledge of the German or English language must be proven to study at HfM Detmold. Which level of the  language proficiency is required for your course can be found here.

HfM Detmold has been offering level A1, A2, B1 and B2 German language classes for some time now. More information about the German language classes as well as language schools in the region can be found here.

Stipendien und Studienfinanzierung (Scholarships and student finance):

There are many ways to help you concentrate on your studies and not having to worry about their financing. On our website you will find a list of scholarship providers and funding programmes. More information on student finance can be obtained at the Career Centre.

Streaming:

Declaration of consent for students to participate in live streaming as part of (teaching) events at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold.

Studienbescheinigungen (Study certificates):

You can download and print out your study certificates, certificates of achievement and certificate in accordance with Section 9 BAföG (form 2) every semester from the LSF Portal.

Please contact the CIS if you need a non-automated/signed study certificate. Please note that this may take 3 to 5 days.

Studienausweis (Student identification card):

You can renew your student identification card at the validation station in the foyer of the administration building (Willi-Hofmann-Straße 5) each semester after having reregistered. An administration fee of EUR 20.00 has to be paid for lost or damaged cards. The payment details can be found here.

Studienplan und Studienbuch (Curriculum and course book):

Studying involves more than just attending classes with your main subject teacher. The curriculum can help you organise your studies.
Your certificates (Testate) are entered in the course book. Please make sure to hand in your course book to the Student Services Department at the latest at the end of your studies.

Studienberatung (Student Advisory Service):

You can contact N.N. if you have any subject-related questions concerning the organisation and structure of your studies. She is moreover the contact person for prospective and international students as well as for questions about studying abroad.

 

Studien- und Prüfungsordnungen (Study and examination regulations):

The study regulations govern the study order and requirements as well as the necessary examinations of your course. Your general rights and duties as a student are detailed in the examination regulations. We therefore recommend that you familiarise yourself with these documents at an early stage.
