Ombudsfrau (Ombudswoman):
The ombudswoman of HfM Detmold is Mrs. Ursula Rost. She acts as a mediator in case of conflicts, e.g. between a student and a teacher. Mrs. Rost’s contact details can be found here.
Orchester (Orchestra):
HfM Detmold attaches great importance to orchestral performance. All students on artistic courses must play in an orchestra from the first semester onwards, except during their exam semester. Appointments to the HfM orchestra are made by the main subject teachers. Participation in the university orchestra is governed by the orchestra rules. There are one to two work phases per semester.
