Corona-Virus: Hochschule trifft Entscheidung (d/en)

Angesichts der dynamischen Entwicklungen um das sich ausbreitende Virus SARS-CoV-2 hat die Hochschulleitung der HfM Detmold heute folgende Entscheidungen zum Schutz der Studierenden, Lehrenden und Mitarbeitenden sowie des Publikums getroffen:

Konzerte und Veranstaltungen: Alle öffentlichen Konzerte und Veranstaltungen der HfM Detmold bis zunächst einschließlich 19.4.2020 werden abgesagt. Dies betrifft auch die Veranstaltungen des Beethoven-Jubiläumsjahres BTHVN2020 | Detmold sowie diejenigen Veranstaltungen in den Räumlichkeiten der Hochschule, bei denen die Hochschule nicht selbst Veranstalterin ist. Eintrittskarten können beim Haus der Musik bzw. beim jeweiligen Veranstalter / der jeweiligen Vorverkaufsstelle zurückerstattet werden. Die Austauschprojekte mit den Musikhochschulen Warschau und Budapest entfallen. Die Hochschule hofft auf das Verständnis ihrer Konzertbesucher und bittet darum, sich tagesaktuell auf der Website über den weiteren Verlauf zu informieren.

Semesterbeginn: Der Semesterstart wird laut Erlass des Ministeriums für Kultur und Wissenschaft NRW auf den 20.04. verschoben. Abgesagt wird auch die feierliche Immatrikulation am 01.04. zum Auftakt des Sommersemesters. Hochschulrektor Prof. Dr. Thomas Grosse: „Wir müssen die notwendigen Maßnahmen im Benehmen mit dem Ministerium und allen verantwortlichen Stellen treffen, um unseren Beitrag zur Eindämmung der Ausbreitung des neuartigen Corona-Virus zu leisten.“

Zugangsmöglichkeit zur Hochschule: Die Hochschule ist bis auf Weiteres geschlossen. Dazu zählen sämtliche Gebäude des Hochschulcampus einschließlich der Bibliothek. Auch die Verwaltung stellt den Publikumsverkehr ein, bleibt jedoch für Studierende und Lehrende sowie Konzertbesucherinnen und -besucher per Mail und über Telefon erreichbar. Studierende dürfen die entsprechenden Räumlichkeiten der Hochschule für Übezwecke weiterhin nutzen. Die Hochschule weist auf die entsprechenden Empfehlungen des Robert-Koch-Instituts und des Gesundheitsamtes unter www.hfm-detmold.de/corona-virus ausdrücklich hin.

Betroffen von der aktuellen Situation sind rund 230 Lehrkräfte, 760 Studierende sowie 75 Mitarbeitende in Technik und Verwaltung. Die Hochschule bittet angesichts der sich dynamischen entwickelnden Situation, die aktuellen Hinweise auf der Website zu beachten.

Resolution by the Rectorate of HfM Detmold: All courses up to and including 19 April cancelled / Semester start postponed to 20 April  

In view of the dynamic developments in connection with the spreading SARS-CoV-2 virus, the Rectorate of HfM Detmold has today made the following decisions in order to protect its students, teachers and employees as well as the public:
Concerts and events: All public concerts and events of HfM Detmold up to and including 19 April 2020 will be cancelled. This also applies to the events of the Beethoven Anniversary Year BTHVN2020 | Detmold as well as events on HfM Detmold’s premises which are not organised by HfM Detmold itself. Tickets can be refunded at the Haus der Musik or the respective organiser / booking office. The exchange projects with the Warsaw and Budapest Music Schools are cancelled. The university hopes that its concert audience will understand this decision and asks them to check the website daily for further information.
Semester start: According to a decree of the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the start of the semester will be postponed to 20 April. The matriculation ceremony on 1 April at the start of the summer semester will also be cancelled. Rector Prof. Dr. Thomas Grosse: “We have to take the necessary measures in consultation with the Ministry and all responsible authorities in order to help contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.”
Access to HfM Detmold’s premises: HfM Detmold is closed until further notice. This includes all buildings on the HfM campus including the library. The administration will also be closed to the public, but will remain available to students, teachers and concert-goers by e-mail and telephone. Students may continue to use the respective rooms of the university to practice. HfM Detmold expressly refers to the corresponding recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute and the local health authority at www.hfm-detmold.de/corona-virus.
