DAAD-Programme to increase Student Mobility

Call 2024

Partial scholarships or subsistence allowances will be awarded for future projects in 2024:

  • Study and competition trips abroad (up to max. 12 days)
  • Specialised courses abroad (Master classes / summer courses) (up to max. 6 weeks)
  • Placements abroad which are not eligible for ERASMUS+ funding (1-6 months)
  • Study periods at foreign universities that cannot be funded via ERASMUS+ (1-6 months)
  • Periods spent in Germany or in the home country of the student are not supported! 
  • The project must not receive funding from other German public funds and the scholarship must not be taken up at the same time as another DAAD-Individual Scholarship.
  • Students in all phases of study.
  • Completed application form
  • Letter of motivation about the planned project
  • Overview of study and examination achievements to date
  • Proof of language skills in the national or working language
  • Proof of acceptance for the stay abroad
  • Online tool of the HfM Detmold (the link will be sent to all students on 15th February)
  • 15th February – 15th July 2024 for future activities March – December 2024

The selection decision will take place at the end of the summer semester 2024.

  • Fixed amount of funding per day/month or stay set by DAAD according to location and project will be paid, which can vary depending on the destination country (see current amount of funding of the DAAD). Please be aware, that this scholarship is just a contribution, but can not fully cover the costs of your stay abroad.

The selection is made by a selection committee on the basis of the documents submitted according to the following criteria:

  • Study and examination achievements to date
  • Reasons for the planned stay abroad
  • Relevant language skills
