Society of Friends and Patrons

Talented students, outstanding teachers and a wide range of top-class events guarantee the attractiveness of the Hochschule für Musik Detmold. Young musicians are taught here under ideal conditions and at a ground-breaking artistic level. We believe: Special achievements deserve special supporEspecially when financial constraints prevent some young, talented students from studying. That is where the members of the Society of Friends and Patrons of the Hochschule für Musik Detmold help with their contributions and donations.

Since its foundation in 1948, the Society of Friends and Patrons has helped hundreds of students, thus facilitating many musical career starts. In addition, the support of the Society of Friends and Patrons has made possible many essential projects at the Hochschule. The management board of the Society of Friends and Patrons is currently composed of Katharina Baumann-Südfeld (chair), Professor Karl-Heinz Bloemeke (deputy chair), Dr. Sören Kramer (secretary) and Heinrich Hansmeier (treasurer).
