The music library promotes the information literacy of students and teachers through individual advice and group training.

The basis for the promotion of information literacy at the music library is the Referenzrahmen Informationskompetenz (information literacy reference framework, in German) of the German Library Association (Deutscher Bibliotheksverband - dbv):
