Comission

Section 22 (4) of the North Rhine-Westphalian Arts Colleges Act (KunstHG) provides for the setting up of an Equal Opportunities Commission at the university. At its meeting on 6 February 2018, the Senate of HfM Detmold decided to set up an Equal Opportunities Commission and appointed its members. The Commission advises and supports the university and the Equal Opportunities Commissioners in implementing equal opportunities for women and men. It meets once a semester.

The Commission focuses on topics such as family-friendly university, gender competence, promotion of women’s rights in decision-making processes as well as proximity and distance in teaching. The Commission furthermore organises events on equal opportunity topics for employees of the university.
