Musicology Seminar

The Musicology Seminar Detmold/Paderborn is a joint institution of the Hochschule für Musik Detmold and Paderborn University. The proximity between musical practice at the Hochschule für Musik and the University’s faculty of cultural studies has repeatedly given rise to interesting ideas for scientific research as well as projects involving colleagues and students. The Musicology Seminar sees itself as an interface between artistic practice and musicology. It includes university courses in the field of Musicology (Bachelor, Master, Ph.D.) and at the same time offers tutoring for the artistic and music education courses provided by the Hochschule für Musik.
