Music nursery

Together with the Lippe University of Applied Sciences, our university has installed a very efficient day care centre for children: “Paulinchen” is the name of the day care centre which was initially set up at the university site in Detmold and run by the association “Kinder an den Detmolder Hochschulen e.V.” many years ago. The Hochschule für Musik Detmold is now also an active partner in caring for the children of student parents. The association has been commended by the Deutsche Studentenwerk (DSW) in Berlin for its commitment; within the framework of the competition "Students for Students", it was awarded the Studentenwerk prize for its particular social involvement in the university sector. This commitment was extended on completion of the music nursery in summer 2012. At present, the day care centre can accommodate ten children aged from 0 to 3 years and ten children aged from 3 to 6 years.

It is intended above all for the children of students and staff at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold and the OWL University of Applied Sciences. External children are also accepted if there are vacancies.

Opening hours:

Mon-Thur: 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Fri: 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
