Camille Savage-Kroll teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in elemental music pedagogy at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold. An American by birth, she completed her undergraduate studies at the renowned Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York where she studied music education and voice. Her graduate studies in music pedagogy took place at the University of the Arts (Hochschule für Künste) in Bremen, Germany where she was the recipient of the distinguished DAAD prize for outstanding achievements by a foreign student.
In her position as assistant director of "Muisk im Ohr" in Bremen's historic concert house, the Glocke, Camille Savage-Kroll is responsible for the conception, development and implementation of projects and concert series for children and youth.
Camille Savage-Kroll's experience as a music educator spans a broad spectrum of ages and backgrounds. In New York she worked as a music teacher and choir director for elementary and high schools. She has also worked extensively with special needs children and continues to be active in early childhood music education. In addition, Camille Savage-Kroll is a continuing education instructor and lecturer for teachers and is the founding director of the first music group for senior citizens at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold.
