Master Courses

The Music Academy Detmoldregularly invites internationally renowned guest professors, to especially teach advanced Detmold students multi-day master courses in a respective instrument or in vocal studies. Recently musical greats like Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, András Schiff and Christa Ludwig performed this task successfully at the university. Both soloists and chamber ensembles can take advantage of these master courses. Besides the acquisition of exclusive experience, the active participation in these courses becomes a worthwhile addition to an artist's biography.

Obviously all Detmold music students are given the opportunity to attend the master courses free of charge as a listener.
At the end of a master course, the students, in conjunction with a visiting professor, will hold a concert for the general public. Here you find an overview about topical Master courses.
